We are very grateful for the men who braved the cold 25° East Texas weather to come spend the morning with their church family and start their day with the Lord!

This morning’s discussion came out of Acts 16. Paul and Silas’ plan was to share the gospel with the people of Asia but were led by the Holy Spirit to go to Philippi. On their way they met a woman named Lydia who gave her life to Christ along with her family. Paul and Silas would later be thrown into prison in Philippi and it was there that they led the Philippian jailor and his family to the Lord. Had they chose to ignore the leading of the Spirit and go to Asia they would’ve missed these opportunities.

We ended by saying that when we grasp what Acts 16 is teaching us, we realize it is often unnecessary to ask what God’s will is for our lives. Instead, we should ask what God’s will is in the world and how we can align our lives with it. We can trust that He will direct our steps for the accomplishment of His will and the spread of His worship in ways far beyond what we could have planned or imagined.
